My perspective of Valentines Day
Sometimes I hate it, sometimes I think it’s cute, sometimes I could care less, maybe it just depends how I’m feeling on that exact day. Overall I think that its purpose is pretty sad. I get that Valentines Day is the day to express the love or emotions that you feel for somebody, but why do you have to have a set day to do that? You should constantly be reminding the people you love that you love them everyday, or whenever you have the chance. I don’t know why people wait for that one day just to let somebody know. It doesn’t make it any special because it’s the same day that people around the world are expressing their feelings too. I personally would find more meaning in somebody giving me their heart on a random day when I least expect it, instead of Valentines Day. I guess that’s just me, but I’m not going to lie, I often get jealous of the girls walking around school with a bunch of flowers, balloons, cards, and candy. Although I read off of my Herbal Essence shampoo that almost 15% of these girls are buying shit for themselves. I’m glad that’s not me even if I’ve been Valentineless for the past four years hahaha.
8th grade girlfraaann. We totally brought gifts from home and swapped with each other, AHAHAH-They were from our “secret admirers.” HAHAHA, wth were we thinking?
